TWO-WAY TRAFFIC

FamilyWarning
Where you see itWhere a one-way road becomes two-way

What it means

You are leaving one-way comfort: oncoming traffic will now share this road. Common where divided highways or one-way streets end.

What you should do

Stay right of the center line and recalibrate your passing: the left lane is no longer yours by default.

Memory trick

Two arrows pointing past each other: the road now has a "them" direction.

The mistake drivers make

Passing on the left out of one-way habit. The first oncoming car after a one-way stretch is the one drivers never expect.
