DO NOT ENTER

ColorRed and white
ShapeSquare with a red circle
FamilyRegulatory
Where you see itMouths of one-way streets, freeway off-ramps

What it means

This road is closed to you from this direction. It guards the entrances to one-way streets and exit ramps so no one drives in against the flow.

What you should do

Do not drive past it, ever. If you are turning and see it facing you, that road is not your road. Find another way in.

Memory trick

The white bar is a closed gate across a red door.

The mistake drivers make

Confusing it with WRONG WAY. DO NOT ENTER stands at the entrance, before the mistake. WRONG WAY appears after you have already entered against traffic.
